A research has shown that 51% of potential buyers save the pitch page for later purchase.
This means that you might be losing as much as 51% of your potential customers because of their delayed decisions!!
Even though adding a sense of urgency to your sales page might reduce that number but still some people will save the page for later review. So how can you let those people come back and buy your stuff without reminding them directly? This is what I am going to talk about in this article.
Suppose that you wanted to buy a wallet but decided to delay the purchase then few days later on your way home you saw it at one of the shops near your home, won’t you reconsider purchasing it?
Now if what if you delayed the decision again then went home to find an advertisement for the wallet on the television, won’t you become more motivated to buy it?
Now what if the next day you went to the mall you found a store selling it for a discounted price, won’t you buy it then? Of course you will.
As you saw it might take some people more than one or two visits to a shop before they buy. So how can you do the same in your website? The answer is simple, focus on getting reoccurring visitors!!
If your website contains nothing more than pitch pages that aim at converting those who arrive immediately then you will lose all of those who delay their purchases. (see How to increase conversion rate in my website part I).
Instead you must focus on putting content that forces the visitors to come back while in the same time you should be listing your product on the side bar in each page of your website.
If your product is visible from any page of your website and if online visitors visit you more that once then the same thing that happened to you when you were buying the wallet will happen to them too.
In short, let people see your product more than once by putting it in a visible place, force them to come back and your conversion rates will surge.
