My first website gets more than but i discovered that i could get millions more of hits by just building a bridge. Sounds confusing? then read this article to know more about getting more visitors to your website by building bridges.

My first websites is about self help, it teaches people how to get over their bad emotions and how to live a happier life. As i was browsing Facebook i discovered that millions of people have the same emotional problems my website can cure but yet lots of them don't know about it!!

So on one side i have a website that can help people deal with certain issues and on the other side i have people who suffer from these issues but they don't know about the site, what should the next step be??

People won't visit your site because they are your friends or because they like you but they will only visit it to satisfy one of the unmet needs they have. The unmet need could boredom, lack of knowledge, social needs or any other need.

So if your website can help certain people meet certain needs and if lots of those people are availble on social networking websites then you can bring lots of visitors to your site by contacting these people.

Most people fail to get any traffic from social networking sites because they only focus on adding friends or bringing followers without addressing people's needs on personal basis!!

Taking my website 2knowmyself as an example, i went online on Facebook then checked the status updates people made. I found some people saying that they are depressed so i gave them a link to my depression section.

I saw other people who were broken-hearted so i gave them a link to my breakups section. Since those people are really in need they won't hesitate to visit the site and since my website has great content that can solve their problems they will become loyal visitors.

This can also be done on a big scale by joining discussion groups, online groups and getting involved in online debates. In short there are millions of people out there who need your site and all you need to do is to connect with them on personal basis and tell them about your site.
